MISSION

The CRIB aims to innovate scientifically and technologically, improve concrete infrastructure and train transdisciplinary specialists.

The Research Center on Concrete Infrastructure (CRIB) is a strategic group that works to develop, disseminate and transfer knowledge for the construction and repair of concrete infrastructure.

It aims to develop technologies to improve the lifespan of infrastructures as well as to determine the financial, social and environmental costs linked to the construction or maintenance of concrete infrastructures.

Since its creation in 1982, the Concrete Infrastructure Research Center has continued to evolve from year to year in order to respond to the needs of Quebec society.

Initially bringing together a few researchers from two universities, the Center has, over the years, added research disciplines as well as a multitude of members. Its expertise lies in engineering, architecture, finance and geology. First created by the union of two universities, the CRIB today has seven member universities in Quebec and forges links with international experts.
