Bacteria to preserve concrete structures

Richard Gagné, Assistant Director of the Centre de recherche sur les infrastructures en béton (CRIB), spoke to Constructo journalist Vincent Rioux about his research into bacterial healing of concrete.

"Bacteria may look small, but when you pamper them and make them work in conditions that are ideal for them, it's pretty amazing the amount of work they can do," he explains.
