The 79th annual convention of the Association des constructeurs de routes et de grands travaux du Québec (ACRGTQ) was held in Quebec City from January 17 to 19, 2023, under the theme "Challenges of a green future". Some 70 participants attended a CRIB workshop on technological and environmental issues facing the construction industry.

Professors Bruno Massicotte of Polytechnique Montréal and Arezki Tagnit-Hamou of Université de Sherbrooke, accompanied by master's student Tristan Winnicki of Université Laval and CRIB ambassador Claude Bédard, presented the issues.

Eco-concretes, cutting-edge design methods in the context of climate change, and the acceleration of construction methods were just some of the research themes addressed by the team.

CRIB's participation in the event concluded with an exchange of ideas on how to foster partnerships between the research community and ACRGTQ members to ensure the acceleration of technological developments in the concrete construction sector in Quebec.
